Team Lead: Executive Search & Research
We are looking for a Team Lead: Executive Search & Research to join our dynamic team, bringing together your expertise in executive search and agency recruitment at a senior C-Suite level. In this role, you’ll lead from the front, identifying, mapping, and engaging with high-caliber candidates for executive positions globally, playing a crucial part in our success and the success of our clients.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your strategic insight and research capabilities to deliver exceptional results in both retained executive search and contingent recruitment environments, while mentoring and supporting junior researchers, helping them to grow and develop their skills. Your leadership will also elevate our Head of Research, enabling her to step back from operational tasks and focus on higher-level strategic initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage the research phase of executive search projects, identifying senior leaders and specialists across a range of industries and markets.
- Use your expert research and mapping skills to build out extensive candidate pipelines, leveraging your in-depth market knowledge to locate the best executive talent.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders, advising on search strategies, candidate profiles, and market trends.
- Mentor and develop junior researchers, guiding them in sourcing techniques, candidate engagement, and best practices.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments and manage the recruitment process from initial outreach to candidate engagement and final placement.
- Deliver comprehensive market intelligence and competitor analysis to support both client and internal decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the search process.
- Provide high-level consultation on leadership trends, market challenges, and strategic hiring solutions that align with your clients’ goals.
- Support the Head of Research by taking ownership of operational research tasks, allowing her to focus on broader strategic projects.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in a senior research or consultant role, with a strong background in executive search or agency recruitment.
- Proven success in delivering results on leadership and senior-level placements, with the ability to navigate complex searches and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- In-depth experience with talent mapping, sourcing, and candidate engagement, with the ability to generate detailed market insights and talent reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing expert advice and insights.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members, helping to elevate their skills and performance.
- International recruitment experience and exposure to global markets, giving you a broad understanding of leadership hiring across different regions.
- A proactive and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Agency, executive search, or in-house experience preferred, bringing a well-rounded understanding of different recruitment models.
