People Operations & Office Executive
🌍 Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid)
As a People Operations & Office Executive, you’ll sit at the heart of the Johannesburg office, supporting the business across people operations, office management, and day-to-day operational delivery. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own key elements of the employee lifecycle while ensuring the office runs smoothly and the wider team is fully supported.
Working closely with the Senior Operations Manager and leadership team, you’ll play a key role in enabling a high-performing, well-structured, and engaging working environment across a growing global business.
🤝 What You’ll Be Doing
👥 People Operations & Employee Lifecycle
• Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility
• Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records
• Support global payroll processes and related administrative coordination
• Draft, update, and maintain employment contracts, addendums, and HR policies
• Liaise with external HR advisors to ensure compliance with labour legislation and best practice
• Support internal recruitment coordination, including scheduling and documentation where required
📊 Compliance, Reporting & Learning
• Support SETA submissions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Assist with BEE compliance processes and maintain required documentation
• Support Learning & Development initiatives, including tracking training activity and engagement
💛 Employee Experience & Engagement
• Drive engagement initiatives within the Johannesburg office, including events and culture activities
• Support a consistent employee experience across all locations, including remote teams
• Act as a key point of contact for employee queries and support
• Partner with local managers to identify engagement risks and support team wellbeing
🏢 Office & Facilities Management
• Manage day-to-day office operations, including suppliers, facilities, and maintenance
• Act as first point of contact for office-related issues (access, facilities, logistics)
• Support consistency in office operations across other locations where required
⚙️ Operations, Systems & Business Support
• Coordinate onboarding logistics including systems access, equipment, and setup
• Act as first line support for basic tech-related issues, liaising with external providers where needed
• Manage shared mailboxes, operational coordination, and internal communications
• Support expense management processes and related policies
• Assist with travel coordination including flights, accommodation, and visa support
🚀 Continuous Improvement & Enablement
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through tools, systems, and AI-enabled solutions
• Stay aware of emerging trends and technologies that can enhance people operations
• Suggest and support process improvements across HR and operational workflows
• Act as an enabler across the business, ensuring teams have the structure and support needed to perform
🔎 What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in HR, People Operations, or an operations-focused role
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in written and administrative work
• Highly organised, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability and initiative
• Confident communicator across all levels of the business
• Experience working with HRIS or operational systems
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment requiring both structure and flexibility
• Interest in technology and AI tools, with a willingness to learn and apply new ways of working
• Strong sense of ownership and a focus on enabling others to succeed
